ALTIMETER

Features

The Zenith altimeter is equipped with the ADXL375 high-G accelerometer, which can record with high precision up to ± 200 G in all axes.

ADXL375 High-G Accelerometer
MS560702 Barometer

The Zenith altimeter features the MS560702 barometer, operating from 10 to 1200 mbar with a resolution of 0.012 hPa. Under ideal conditions, it can measure altitudes up to 100,000 feet, ensuring precision in extreme environments.

The Zenith altimeter features advanced launch detection, automatically triggering recording at liftoff. Using real-time sensor data, it ensures no critical flight data is missed, even in high-speed or high-G scenarios.

Launch Detection
Apogee Detection

The Zenith altimeter uses a dual-redundancy system, combining barometric pressure and accelerometer data to accurately detect apogee. This ensures reliable peak altitude measurement, even in complex or high-G flight conditions.

The Zenith altimeter triggers precise parachute deployment using pyrotechnic terminals for ejection, ensuring timely and reliable recovery. Integrated with apogee detection, it delivers flawless ejection at the optimal moment for safe descent. Parachute delay can be added by adding a settings file with the flight configurations onto the MicroSD-Card, which is then transferred onto the NAND flash chip. This includes the emergency deployment of the main parachutes if the rocket does not reach its minimum intended height.

Drogue & Main parachute Ejection
Descent Mode & Touchdown Detection

The Zenith altimeter intelligently detects touchdown using barometric and accelerometer data, automatically stopping data recording to conserve storage. This ensures efficient data management and extends battery life for future flights.

Integrated Bootloader

The Zenith altimeter has a programmable MCU, which users can upload the latest software
